Probably a dancer.

When you were five, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I’ll be honest I can’t completely remember, but at that age I probably wanted to dance, if I’m honest I still do. For awhile I did wheelchair dancing, but I’ve been unable to find a competitive group for adults, so I haven’t done it in years, and that makes me sad honest.

I love dance.

It’s just my luck that I’d enjoy something so much that doesn’t work in the way people expect when you’re in a wheelchair. Even when I’ve found dancers in wheelchairs, they’ve almost always been in manual wheelchairs and had a lot more movement than me.

Moral of that story is dancing doesn’t really work for me.

At this point anything.

What’s a job you would like to do for just one day?

Something I’ve been struggling with dealing with lately is how inaccessible work is. As I’ve been trying to get a job I realise how little experience I have that can be used in the world of work and how that prevents me from getting into it.

The reality is the world is incredible inaccessible to me and that makes work inaccessible to me. But I’m trying and I guess that’s all I can do.

But to answer the question. If I could do any job for a day, presuming I’d be good at the job. I’d be a dancer.

Yes a dancer is a job because you can earn money.

I guess it’s true what they say about your first passions never leaving you.
