Have you ever had surgery? What for?
The interesting thing about this question is that by some people standards I will have had a lot of surgeries, and by others I’ve not had enough to complain about.
At one point I was having general anesthetic every couple of months to replace a catheter. All they needed to do was put it in a ready-made opening, but due to how tight my muscles are this could not be done without general anesthetic. Though I will leave that to you to decide as to whether they counted as surgery as I was never cut during these procedures.
I also had to have more of the procedures due to the fact that medical professionals did not listen to me about my own body. This is one thing I wish medical professionals would understand, that they may know more about medicine as a whole, but they do not about a chronically ill or disabled persons personal circumstances when they literally lived them 24/7.
We have no one else to study so we are the experts on ourselves.
Sometimes else that often baffles me is that there are people that exist that have never had surgery, just as I know that there are people that have never met a disabled person.
